People I admire (art)

Takeshi Obata 

A Japanese manga artist that usually works as the illustrator in collaboration with a writer.

Born: February 11, 1969 (age 46), Niigata, Niigata Prefecture, Japan

I started admiring this person since highschool. I thought his drawings were really good and inspirational especially his drawing style. Below are few of his drawings.

Bakuman - Struggle of two young men who try becoming manga artist.
Death Note - A note book that can kill anyone if the name is written on it.

Kekkai Kotaki

Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. Arrived in Washington in the year 2000 to study and pursue a career in art. He graduated from the Art Institute of Seattle with an Associates Degree in Animation, Art and Design. He started at ArenaNet in november of 2003 as a texture artist working on Guild Wars Prophecies and later became the concept artist for Guild Wars Factions, Nightfall and Eye of the North. He was the Lead Concept Artist for Guild Wars 2 until leaving the company in June of 2012. Below are few of his digital paintings that I find very mesmerizing.
