I watched this movie in awe. I was like "Oh...my...lord...". I was immersed in wonder and amazement by the visual images that they display. Each frame was like a painting, a beautiful painting. Even the character designs were inspiring. I loved Final Fantasy very much that my drawings were influenced by it.
For those who love paintings and drawings, this movie is highly recommended. It's like watching a moving painting.
Few more days to go and it's over. To be honest I did not do well, I was lazy and easily distracted by useless things. This is so far my finished animation.
Back in my highschool days, whenever someone asked me what I wanted
to do, I would say I want to become a comic artist or make a living with
drawing. Common reply I get is "doing Art doesn't guarantee any
future". These words often came from my teachers, uncles, aunts and my
parents. In other words, old people. Even my dad laughed with a disappointed face when I told him I
wanted to apply for animation. Instead he insisted me to become an
architect if I really want to make a living with drawing. But that's not what had happened. When they said "drawing has no future", I was worried of my decision because I don't know what I was doing. I had better choices like going to matrikulasi school but I chose "dream" instead. I was a fool.
So far in the road of my life choice, I went to college for free (scholarship). Things that I did not expect such as getting an offer to further study abroad. I went to RTM for animation competition called Digista Teens (dear lord i'm on tv).
The thing is, what I have learned from my choice so far is that the road doesn't have to be straight. What people tell you most of the time doesn't decide anything, they give you pictures but they don't craft your success. Despite all that I went through good or bad, I never regret my decision as much as I would if I didn't choose what I do now. If somebody tells you what you are doing is useless, remember that it's from their perspective and knowledge not yours.
In the game Counter Strike: Global Offensive, you can unbox a case for RM10. The items you get can either be good or bad. So, one day I thought why not I open a case and see what I can get. I never expected to get such luck. I gambled and I won RM2000 for the price of RM10. I get an item as you can see on the screenshot above. It was one of the happiest day of my life.

Hello Baby - A story about 3 friends whose life revolves around gangsterism.
All You Need Is Kill - A story about a man who repeat
Bakuman - Struggle of two young men who try becoming manga artist.
Death Note - A note book that can kill anyone if the name is written on it.
Kekkai Kotaki
Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Arrived in Washington in the year 2000 to study and pursue a career in
art. He graduated from the Art Institute of Seattle with an Associates
Degree in Animation, Art and Design. He started at ArenaNet
in november of 2003 as a texture artist working on Guild Wars
Prophecies and later became the concept artist for Guild Wars Factions,
Nightfall and Eye of the North. He was the Lead Concept Artist for Guild
Wars 2 until leaving the company in June of 2012. Below are few of his digital paintings that I find very mesmerizing.
Below is some of very quick posters I did by combining images just to get the composition right.
This one looks more like a poster for scary story rather than a love story. (font tukar)
Probably the most suitable for my short animation so far. It represents the main story and works well with the title. (striking red/purple to contrast)
An experimental poster I did very quick. The background image is ripped from the internet.
Another experimental but I think this is another fail. I don't see how it's a glimpse haha
Another quick experiment with few of the movie scenes.
Sharing a few of my favourite short animated films. I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I do.
The first one is Home Sweet Home by Pierre Clenet, Alejandro Diaz, Romain Mazevet and Stéphane Paccolat. I can't believe watching animated houses can be so entertaining and they even make you feel the feel.
The entire story of this animation happens only in one place yet you can still get to enjoy so much from it. With the awesome background and characters as well as the unexpected twist, this is definitely worth watching.
This is probably the animation that has the best story, from the beginning to the end it makes you realize the system that we have created for our own. It makes you rethink about the definition of freedom.
This cute animation tells a story of a guy and a girl who are very different that it makes them suitable for each other. It is a simple animation but many find it adorable.
This animation shows one of the most important lesson in life which is to be grateful.
Had to make a compilation for this as well since I cannot dance and need something to inspire me. Some dance moves which I find very jaw dropping and I hope they can inspire my classmates as well.
The first dance is Good Boy by Taeyang x GD, very similar to ringa linga but I personally like this more.
The second one is BBOY which is probably the hardest kind of dance.
Crayon Pop is probably the most modest girl group in Korea and their music is catchy as well.
Random compilation of awesome dances, simply amazing.
As animators to be, music is a must when working through the long hours of making an animation. I would like share a few of my favourite songs. You can play these musics straight from the Music Player at the bottom. "Space Oddity" Artist: Commander Chris Hadfield Written by David Bowie Published by Onward Music Limited "Across the Universe" Artist: Fiona Apple Album: When the Pawn Original by The Beatles Written by
LENNON, JOHN WINSTON / MCCARTNEY, PAUL JAMES "Creep" Artist: Radiohead Written by Albert Hammond, Mike Hazlewood Album: Pablo Honey "Kiss Me" Artist: Sixpence None the Richer Written by Matt Slocum Album: Sixpence None the Richer
Glimpse is a three minute animated short inspired by
the idea of love at first sight. It tells the story of David and Lucy who fall
in love the first moment they see each other
"Glimpse" Poster
Glimpse is inspired by a short animated film by Disney "Paperman" and a full length feature film "5 Centimeters Per Second".
Paperman by Disney
The animation of Paperman uses the combination of 2D and 3D techniques, which inspires the methodology used in Glimpse.
5 Centimeters Per Second
The beautiful backgrounds from 5 Centimeters Per Second is what hoped to be achieved in the Background Development of Glimpse.
